Finding it difficult to see your doctor? We’re making it easier

To make it easier to speak to your GP and get an appointment, we’ve introduced a new booking system. There are three easy steps:

  1. Call the practice to book a telephone consultation with a GP – usually within the hour, or whenever suits you
  2. The doctor will phone you back to discuss your problem and agree what to do next
  3. If you need an appointment you can usually be seen on the same day, if it’s convenient. You will always be seen if you need to be

If you would like an appointment with a healthcare professional (like a nurse or healthcare assistant), you can book an appointment directly with the receptionist.

Please see our leaflet for more information about how to book an appointment.

We’ll come to you if you’re housebound

We offer home visits for housebound or very ill or elderly patients only. Non-urgent home visits can be arranged with your doctor with a few days’ notice. Urgent visits will be done as quickly as possible, but your preferred doctor may not be available. Please call before 10am if you wish to make a home visit appointment. If you call after 6.30pm your home visit will be undertaken by the local out-of-hours service.

Appointment reminders the easy way

We offer a free texting service. If you would like to use this service, please ensure that our reception staff have your up-to-date mobile number.

No longer need your appointment?

Over 100 pre-arranged appointments are being missed by our patients every month, which is having a big impact on our ability to see patients who really need our help. Please let us know if you no longer need your appointment. This will enable us to re-allocate the time to someone who needs it.

Please note that if you fail to turn up to three or more pre-arranged appointments you may be taken off our practice list.

Cancel appointments online

Use our online system to cancel an appointment with your doctor or nurse online, 24 hours a day. To use the service you will need a username and password, available from our reception team. You can also download a free mobile app for this service for both Android and Apple phones and tablets.
